Movie Tickets – Early ’90s to Present
For some reason, I’ve kept every single movie ticket I’ve bought since the early ’90s. I plan to do something artistic with them all eventually (something Jackson Pollock-y), but for now you can have a look at a handful of them from across the eras of Western New York cinema.
Muir Woods – 2007
Not sure why I kept this receipt, but it immediately evoked memories of the fantastic if brief hike Martha and I took while I was out in San Fran in 2007. You can find some pics here, but it’s hard to capture the majesty of the place through words or pictures. A must-visit if you’re ever in Northern California.
Umbro Shorts – Early ’90s
Gotta love these; Umbro shorts were all the rage for those of the soccer-playing peruasion in middle and high school. The choice of pink and purple was a questionable one, to be sure, but I’m a man who discovered the wheel and built the Eiffel Tower out of metal and brawn, so there.
Various Polaroids – Mid ’90s
One of our favorite pasttimes was sitting in the backseat of our parents’ cars and yelling “boner” or something else equally entertaining.
Jimmy the Dog – Mid-80s
My first dog wasn’t exactly a living one. Nevertheless, I loved dear Jimmy.
Pound Puppies, anyone?
Great idea gordo, loved this post.
Amazing! Nostalgia city – here we come!
Oh, and do you still have that ‘PUMP UP’ hat from your member’s only jacket photo? That might be worth wearing again!
Alas, I think it’s long gone, along with my sweet, silver Sabres watch I got in 1988.
