A few of us sauntered down the road to the Albright-Knox Art Gallery — or its parking lot, to be more accurate — last Friday night to take in the annual “Rockin’ at the Knox” fundraiser concert. Featuring an eclectic mix of artists, the show was headlined by The National, a band who’s rapidly risen to prominence over the past year; and Rufus Wainwright, the flamboyant piano player I’d known only through his cover of “Across the Universe.” Aside from the great set from The National, the night was highlighted by beers and a mobile M&T ATM we quickly became enamored of. We were two beers away from taking full advantage of the ATM’s mobility (i.e. running down the street with it).
You can read a review of the shows from The Buffalo News here; and click the image above for the gallery.
Snakes, 4500 of our fellow fans and I journeyed to the Ralph to take in the first open practice of the 2010 Buffalo Bills season: Let the Misery Continue™! We had a decent time watching the 2-hour practice; drinking Miller Timez; eating Cheetoz; eating cheap hot dogz; and heckling Buddy Nix. To top it off, Bills CB Drayton Florence handed out t-shirts to his Twitter followers (yes, it’s true; try to contain your enthusiasm). Click the pic below for the full gallery.
These cards lay beneath a giant, wooden carving of a bear outside of J.P. Bullfeathers and just so happen to be my favorite poker hand. Fate or coincidence?
This marks the 365th and final daily picture, my friends. I hope you’ve enjoyed the experiment. I may try it again sometime, perhaps with a better camera so I can capture some breathtaking shots of the drunk guys wandering up and down Elmwood Avenue every weekend. Adieu.
