Sure to offend Catholics everywhere!
I hope I’m not the only one to find it objectionable that the world is honoring a man who, as the leader of the Catholic church, allowed priests who molested children to not only keep their jobs, but shielded them from prosection by the law.
You can praise the fact that he played a pivotal role in ridding Europe of Communism, that he did much to help the improverished and spread the word of the Lord. I have a hard time reconciling that with his inaction in the last 20-30 years: not doing anything to fix the growing hypocrisy within his own multi-billion dollar “church.” Is it a church or the world’s largest cult?
I guess it’s a good thing I’ll never have to run for political office. ‘Cuz those sentiments sure wouldn’t be popular, eh?
Don’t worry, my next post will feature the “wacky hijinx” you’ve all grown accustomed to.

Well, you can see the beginnings of the new format of the site. I need to go in and heavily edit this template you see to add some of my own unique flair for professional web design.

Viva Las Vegas II: The Wrath of Khan
I’ve posted part one of my Vegas Trip Report. The remainder will be posted in two parts and will be coming next week. Enjoy!
In addition, I’ve revised the NYC Trip Report to spruce up the overall style and correct some formatting problems.
Work on the site proper is progressing as well. I’m in the midst of figuring out an adequate blog software to install (either WordPress or Movable Type). I hope to have that squared away in the next week as well. I’m going to try to include an RSS feed so you can all be notified when I update the site (with the new blog, that should occur much more often). If you “need” a link to anything that’s not accessible at the moment (due to the many currently broken links), drop me a line.

Damn it, I can never leave well enough alone. Happy new year, by the way. I’m going to change the site again, because I’m just not happy with this design. It’s a mess at the moment, as you can kind of see. Anyway, a new design shouldn’t take as long to implement. Once I get something I’m happy with, I can finish it and concentrate more on relevent updates you might enjoy reading (like my “weekly” site log update). What you can expect to see by the end of the week, though, is the image gallery. I’ve got a few things left to tweak before I can upload all of my pictures, but that should not take long. As I’ve oft-advised: stay tuned.
